How we read your prices
Trekoro compares trekking operators on the price they publish and on what a traveller still has to pay after booking. Listing is free, nobody pays to be included or ranked, and every figure links to the page we read it on.
What visits your site. A small program that identifies itself as TrekoroBot and links to this page. It reads the public page of a trip we compare: the price, the number of days and what is included. It does not log in, fill in forms, or read anything that is not public.
How often. A few times a year per trip, never more than one request every ten seconds to the same website, and it follows your robots.txt. If you disallow TrekoroBot there, we stop fetching and read the page by hand instead.
What we publish. Your published "from" price per person for two people travelling together, the date we read it, and a link to your page. Where your page does not say whether something is included, we show a range and tell readers to ask you. We do not copy your descriptions or photos.
How we count. Each trek page lists the reference figures we add when an item is not in a package (flights, permits, meals, porter, tips, insurance, visa), each with its source. If one of those figures is wrong for your trips, tell us and we will look at the source again.
Corrections and removal. A contact address will be published here when the site moves to its own domain. Until then the site is not open to search engines.
Independence. No operator has paid to be listed. If a link on a page ever earns us a commission, it is marked on that page, the operator's own website stays the main link, and the order of the list does not change.
