What this site is, and is not
Short version: Trekoro is a comparison, not a shop. The prices are the operators' own published prices, read on a stated date. Book with the operator, check the price there first, and use our numbers as a starting point, not a promise.
Who runs it
Trekoro is run by Sondre Odland, private individual (sole trader registration follows the first sale), Bergen, Norway.
What the prices are
"From" prices. Every price is the operator's regular published price per person for two people sharing a room, as it stood on the operator's own website on the date shown next to it. A temporary sale price is noted next to the row but not used, so a discount cannot move an operator up the list. Prices change with season, group size, exchange rates and the operator's own decisions. The date tells you how old our reading is.
True cost is an estimate. To the published price we add what the package leaves out, at reference figures with their own sources: flights to the trailhead, meals, hotel nights, porter, gear, tips, insurance, visa and daily extras. Where an operator's page does not say whether an item is included, we show a range and say so. International flights are never counted. Your trip will cost more or less than our figure, depending on how you travel.
Who has checked what. Each price says whether it was read by our system only, or also checked by a person, and when. A price read by the system alone can be wrong: a page may have changed, or a figure may have been misread. Tell us and we correct it; the old reading stays in our history so the change is visible.
Not a booking site, not an agent. We do not sell trips, take bookings, hold money or act for any operator. Your contract is with the operator you book with. We are not a travel agency or a package-travel organiser under Norwegian or EU law, and we hold no travel guarantee, because we never take a traveller's money.
No advice. Nothing here is medical, safety, insurance, legal or financial advice. Altitude, weather and remote terrain carry real risk; choose an operator, insurance and preparation with the help of people qualified to advise you.
Independence
No operator has paid to be listed and there are no affiliate links on this site. If that changes, it will say so here. The order of every list follows the figures on the page, never payment. Read how we read prices for how an operator can correct a figure or ask to be removed.
Using our numbers
You may quote and reuse our figures, tables and data files, including in software and AI answers, with a link to the trek page they come from and the date the price was read. Say that the price belongs to the operator and should be confirmed there before booking. The photographs are the work of the photographers named on the photo credits page, under their own licences. The operators' names, prices and descriptions belong to the operators.
If something is wrong
We correct errors as soon as we can and record every change. We are not liable for a booking made on a figure that later proved wrong, out of date or misread; the operator's own page is always the price that counts. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.
Anything sold here
When we sell a digital product, such as a planning workbook, it is sold through a reseller that acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, VAT and receipts; the reseller's name and terms are shown at checkout. These terms apply on top of theirs:
- What you get. The files described on the product page, delivered by download or email right after payment, plus updated versions for twelve months from purchase when the underlying figures change.
- Withdrawal. Under Norwegian and EU consumer law you can cancel a purchase of digital content within fourteen days, unless you asked for immediate delivery and accepted that the right ends when the download starts. If a file is faulty or not as described, write to us and we will fix it or refund you.
- Use. The files are for your own trip planning. You may share a budget you built with the people travelling with you. You may not resell or republish the files.
- The numbers inside. The same rules as above: they are sourced estimates on a stated date, not a quote, and not advice.
Law and changes
These terms follow Norwegian law. We may change them; the date below says when they were last changed, and material changes are noted on the site.
